Bacon Wrapped Filet Skewers: Steakhouse Bites Off the Grill

Bacon Wrapped Filet Skewers: Steakhouse Bites Off the Grill

If there’s one way to make filet mignon even better, it’s wrapping it in bacon and throwing it on the grill. These Bacon Wrapped Filet Skewers combine tender filet tips, crispy bacon, and flame-charred vegetables for the kind of steakhouse-inspired dinner that feels just as impressive as it is easy to make. Finished with rich garlic herb butter, every bite is packed with bold, savory flavor that’s made for grilling season.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Rastelli’s Filet Mignon Tips
  • 8–10 slices thick-cut bacon, cut in half
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Red onion chunks
  • Mushrooms
  • Wooden skewers

Directions

  1. Pat the filet mignon tips dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  2. Wrap each filet tip with a half slice of bacon and secure with a skewer, threading through the bacon to hold everything in place. Add red onion and mushrooms between pieces if desired.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, about 400–450°F. You want a good sear without burning the bacon too quickly.
  4. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10–12 minutes, turning every 2–3 minutes to crisp the bacon evenly and cook the steak to your desired doneness.
  5. Remove the skewers from the grill and let rest for 2–3 minutes. Then generously brush with the garlic herb butter while they’re still hot, allowing it to melt into the steak and bacon for that perfect steakhouse finish.

Pro Tips:

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to help prevent burning.
  • Use thick-cut bacon so it crisps up without overcooking the filet.
  • Want extra steakhouse flavor? Finish with flaky sea salt or fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Smoky, buttery, and packed with steakhouse flavor, these Bacon Wrapped Filet Skewers are guaranteed to steal the spotlight at your next backyard cookout.
